Investigations

The investigations unit comes under the direct supervision of the Deputy Chief of Police. The unit is made up of three full time plain clothes detectives, who are all sworn law enforcement officers with the powers of arrest in Mecklenburg County.  These Detectives conduct criminal investigations as it relates to school property and work closely with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.  They also conduct sensitive investigations involving employee misconduct.
