EC Parent Advisory Council

Website: cmsecpac.weebly.com

The EC Parent Advisory Council (ECPAC) is run by parents who are concerned about the special needs of children in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools and have a student with a disability enrolled in a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school.

The ECPAC has been established to:

  • Advise the school district on matters that pertain to the education and safety of students with disabilities

  • Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the school district’s special education programs

  • Increase community awareness to encourage understanding, acceptance, and inclusion of children with special needs

  • Establish a network of support between parents with similar needs

ECPAC Meetings:

  • All meetings are open to the public.

  • First 30 minutes will be available for public comment.  To sign up, please submit information at CMSECPAC@gmail.com by noon, one day prior to the meeting.

  • ECPAC Meeting Minutes can be found on the website at the link above.

The Exceptional Children Parent Association (ECPA) is a subgroup of the EC Parent Advisory Council that is focused on building support and relationships among families via quarterly meetings and activities, support group, social media and newsletters.  If you are interested in receiving communication from the ECPA, please fill out this form: bit.ly/2wiyVPM.
