About Charlotte
Charlotte.jpg

Located in the heart of the Southeast, Charlotte lies within the southern Piedmont of North Carolina and along the state’s border of South Carolina. Charlotte is the largest and most accessible city between Washington, D.C., and Dallas, Texas. Due to its mid-Atlantic location, getting to Charlotte is easy from anywhere in the country or the world, hence its nickname "the International Gateway to the South."

Charlotte, NC is the 2nd largest city in the Southeastern United States. Charlotte is 2 hours from the Mountains, where you can go skiing is the winter and hiking in the spring, fall and summer and 3 hours from beaches and historic Charleston. Additionally, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport is a major international hub, and was ranked the 7th-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic in 2018.

Bright sun and clear skies are common during the summer months. Unlike summers in some Southern cities, very hot weather conditions (higher than 90° F) usually occur only 36 days each year in Charlotte.  Snow is infrequent, with an average annual accumulation of less than six inches.  Even though you are in the south, you will still get a taste of all four seasons.
