Students in the IB Middle Years, Diploma, and Career-related Programs must complete service hours as described below:
MYP students (grades 6 - 10) must complete Service as Action hours;
DP students (grades 11 - 12) must complete Creativity, Activity, and Service hours;
CP students (grades 11 - 12) must complete Service Learning hours.
IB students can complete service hours at a variety of organizations, including schools, houses of worship, scouting groups, and non-profit organizations.
Not sure where to start? Here's a list of several organizations that welcome student volunteers; students should contact the organizations directly to find out the groups' needs. This is NOT a comprehensive list, and students are welcome to volunteer with organizations not on this list.
