Former Student Records Request Information
Per CMS policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian or responsible person if the student is less than 18 years of age.
If you are 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without your written consent. Please contact our office for more information.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will be operating on a four day work schedule from June 17 to August 12. Normal operating hours during this period will be Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
CMS offers an online secure and convenient way to request and receive student records. There is a $10 fee for each requested document plus a $4.00 convenience fee.

Upon submission of your request, CMS Student Records department will retrieve and mail the record(s) to the address(es) designated on your form. Once mailed, your payment will be processed and you will receive an email confirmation and receipt. In the interest of security, and expedited service, phone and fax requests will no longer be accepted.
Request for a student's complete cumulative record or for documents other than transcripts, immunization or ID verification, there is a $35 processing fee per record. Please allow up to four (4) weeks for processing.

CMS cannot provide replacement diplomas.
SAT/ACT Scores
We cannot provide copies of your SAT/ACT scores. For copies, contact the test provider or contact The College Board at https://www.collegeboard.org.
