Board of Education Committee Meetings (2020)

​Committee meetings will be held in Room 267/Chamber of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center unless otherwise noted

(Due to COVID -19 meetings may be held electronically)

  • The Board meets in closed session in room either 527/528 or CH-14 of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center before each regular Board meeting, unless otherwise stated. (May be electronic due to COVID-19)

  • Community members may address the Board of Education at the first regular meeting of each month. Individual speakers will be given up to two minutes. Depending on the number of speakers, the time to speak may be reduced. Documents from speakers will be placed in Board member boxes and will not be distributed during the meeting. (If you would like to speak at the first regular meeting please email no later than 12pm the day of the meeting) 

  • Community members may address the Board during public hearings about additions or revisions to the CMS Policy Book.  

  • Please contact Clerk to the Board, 980-343-5163, with questions concerning meeting minutes.

  • Live broadcasts of regular Board meetings air on CMS-TV Cable 3 and are video-streamed live.
